• Sign-up forms (the mailing list, Pre-Order and Bonus Content): your first name, last name and email address.
• Reader team applications (Alpha, Beta, ARC and Street Team): your name, email and the answers you give, such as an invitation code or the platforms you post on.
• The contact form: your name, email, the subject you write and your message.

This site doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies, and it doesn't follow you around other websites.

• To send the newsletter and whatever you signed up for: research dispatches, bonus content, character side stories and release news.
• To review reader team applications and get in touch with the readers who join.
• To answer your messages.

That's all. I don't sell, rent or trade your details, and I don't hand them to other authors or publishers.

Form answers go to my own email system (Mautic), which runs on my own server, and a copy of each form arrives in my author inbox at hello@astridcartesian.com.

The site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and to keep the site running. Your IP address is also checked briefly when you send a form, to stop spam.

My emails may record whether they're opened and which links are clicked, so I know what readers want more of. Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you're off the list.

I keep your details while you're on the list or on a reader team. If you unsubscribe or ask me to delete them, I remove them, apart from the bare minimum needed to make sure you aren't emailed again.

You can ask to see the details I hold about you, correct them, or have them deleted at any time. Email hello@astridcartesian.com and I'll take care of it within 30 days.

I don't knowingly collect details from children under 13.

If this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with a new date at the top. If the site ever sells books directly, this page will be updated to explain how payments are handled.
